At Congolese Youth Connect, we take joy in being the driving force behind the development of our youth, and hope to continue making a difference in their lives. Our Congolese youth are mainly from refugee and immigrant families. Many refugee youth were born in refugee camps, lacking adequate education till now, and we recognize the unique situations presented to them as they navigate the American school system and culture. Here at CYC we take pride in their accomplishments, no matter how small, and continue to support them in their educational journey.
The S.E.E program provides equitable solutions and opportunities for high school students by assisting and supporting students in their high school journey and through college preparation.
At Congolese Youth Connect, we serve Congolese immigrant and refugee youth and their families, and we believe they deserve respect, rights and dignity as their fellow citizens in their new home. We provide support to students and families by coordinating access to resources to become academically successful. We assist in their integration into society and provide orientation to refugee students and parents with respect to the education system when needed.
We engage local and national leaders such as elected officials and key organizations whose decisions impact the everyday life of the youth we serve and their families.
